Maybe I'm too "young" at combatace.com compared to you ;)
Downloadlimits are listed here: http://combatace.com/topic/74864-downloading-from-combatace/

Couldn't find what's needed to get "higher ranks" but most likely it's a few dozen to some hundreds of posts.

I remember my old favorite jet sim was Janes USAF.... Cutting edge stuff at the time...Really, the best thing about that sim was the absolutely superb instruction manual that shipped with it..That doesn't happen anymore.. I got Lock On, and was totally lost right from the start due to no decent manual....

So, while a quick review and research showed me Strike Fighters is both quite dated and also quite horrible on ground textures compared to our beloved modded IL-2

You can get some great map upgrades
see..

"Great" is in the eye of the beholder ;)
I've seen these map updates too, tried "photo realistic" UK maps myself with a very similar result to the screenshot of yours SGT68.
I must say however that these SF2 maps are still far behind anything we know from IL-2.
These flat textures between 3D objects and the very close "line of sight" border behind which you only see flat textures... it makes me puke, sorry.

It happens that I was "young" some times ago :)
And somewhat logically, now, I do not download very much
Also "6" should be enough to download one of eburger's campaign / day.
Now that I think of it, are you using some "download accelerators" ?
Because if you do this, this may drastically decrease your download allowance because each "channel" counts for 1

Maybe there's a download accelerator plugin active @home, I'll check that, thanks for the hint!

I am a long time combatace user and I rarely met the download limitation, though I am not paying.
Downloading the 4 links from your post already takes 4 days if not on a paid subscription, the campaigns are at least another day.
I'm not arguing, just saying...

Thanks for the links by the way :)

Best regards - Mike

its only a fiver for a month - and the downloading is really fast and consistent. In 2 days I have set up an entire suite of SF2 modules having downloaded practically everything. For £5.50.

This is from the War For Israel Pack

Nato Fighters 5 Expansion

Operation Desert Storm Pack
