Biscay Map is Downloadable

Biscay

https://www.mediafire.com/?yewzzktndz5

This is a request map, from the Czechoslovak Virtual Squadron. Their idea from the start. Standard textures were used to make the map.

Populating of towns, cities, villages, harbors, airfields etc and roadwork was done by RAF 310/311 czechoslovak virtual squadron (311_Tjurma, 311_Rampa, 310_Crowley).

I only made a basic map using standard West European textures. The main work was one by the Czech Virtual Squadron.

In fact, cooperation went so smoothly, that other maps will certainly follow. Just have to figure out which ones to choose.

What is the scale ?

Uhhh ... it is either 1/1 or a teensy bit smaller. Normally I use 1pixel = 50m in Microdem for the map creation, which is 1/1 for an Il-2 map.

But sometimes the area can be so large that Microdem memory can't handle the translation into full sized DEMs. Then I choose 1pixel = 55m, which is almost negligible a difference (except for the memory in Microdem apparently).

Since it is such a large area I would surmise that I used 1pixel=55m, so it could be a bit smaller than 1/1 ... but not by much ...

Nope, no Paris ... it's out of bounds for morally minded combat men anyway. Clean in body, heart and soul and all that don't you know ... ha ha.

But seriously, it didn't fit into the scale of the map, which was large enough already ...

Thank you, there is a big potential for long range missions, which is very representative of operations there

This is one of those maps (like Poland) that we really needed from a long time!
Thank you very much, Ag, good work! :)
