Yes , you are correct Huckebein. That is the roundel from the proud Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force
and the beautiful girl represented shows that this is a roundel from the Middle East, and not Italy.

It is very similar in colors to the Italian roundel of World War One... Outer ring in green , white and red center.
Italy used 2 types of roundel colors in the Great war.
