I hate when I do this, but for some reason my cockpits seem messed up. Now I discovered that Ar196A-3 (NOT the Ar 196T) and the "basic" IAR-80 (not the rest of the series, IAR-81 etc) have ...swapped cockpits!!!

Please give me something, an indication if this is a general bug or something that occured only to me. I don't want people to bother looking my logfile. Just verify if this is my bug or something that occurs in general.

In my installation of CUP the AR196A-3 uses the same cockpit as the IAR-80 family but the IAR-80 itself uses a slightly different version of the same thing. All the cockpits have gauge names in a mixture of Rumanian and German. I am not sure if there has actually been a swap but, since you mention it, that certainly seems to be a possibility. So, I would guess, this is general and not just your bug.

I would appear to have stock cockpits. Certainly the Stuka cockpit was the old one. I noticed immediately because it is clearly sub-standard. For that and for Yaks and Lags and certain other planes I have added cockpit re-skins that I found on this site, though I forget off-hand where.

Download the Tyrl's cockpit, then copy-paste EVERYTHING ONLY into the !0000_Aircraft_Options folder of you WAW folder. It should work!!!

My problem was that since I have in my DBW installation Tyrl's cockpit, I was not even aware of the old placeholder that still exists in CUP, which frankly looks wrong.

Now, about the cockpits in general - I got confused about the strange choice of re-skins. Strange to have Hurricane I and not II. Strange to have the re-skinned version of MiG-3 and not any La/LaGGs or Yaks! Strange to have P-40s (and I love P-40) and not P-51s!

Just copy-paste into your WAW folder and it should work. Some of these cockpits are already in CUP.

There is only one bug, with the P-51C. Just delete the texture3 and apart from this annoying "mirror", it's ok.

You refer us to VP Media's package of re-skinned cockpits. I believe that is the package that I have been using though I have not installed the whole lot but cherry-picked the ones I like.
