CUP - Halberstadt D II power bug
« on: December 30, 2016, 01:12:54 PM »

Hello everyone, I recently installed CUP modules because my old hard disk broke.
Testing DOF module I noticed that Halberstadt D II doesn't respond to power command.
Pratically it flies without suffering power changes even if I act on the throttle.
Does it happen also to some one else?
Thanks in advance for helping me.
Bye.

The Halberstadt D-II appears to control its power by using the magnetos, like the Fokker E-III. Take a look at the E-III under the WWI aircraft section here. However, here is the key info as to the E-III which should be applicable to the Halberstadt as well:

Engine has no throttle, you can change power by switching magnetos, magneto 1 means ~33% of power, magneto 2 ~66% and magneto 1+2 is full throttle. Also it is possible to regulate power by changing mixture level.

Makes it pretty hard to fly, by the way.

Thank you dear btasm, I overlooked that part in the manual... :-)
...yes it's hard to fly or however more challenging.
