Crash at 60% for JTW, followed instructions, log file attached.
« on: December 31, 2016, 09:30:46 PM »

I am having a CTD with CUP JTW at 60%, its a totally clean install, installed everything on the order stated on the manual with the torrent downloads.

first SAS modact, then Cup module 1, then module 3, module 4, CUP safety Net, last quick, Cup selector Add last.

I open the selector, pick JTW launch and it crashes at 60%, yes the IL-2 version is the correct one, not the latest one that is not compatible.

Please check this topic:

The manual V7.0 states that module1, the maps, be installed first which it seems you did, right?

The order of install was recently changed to the order in the linked topic, Map module is covered in step 10.

yes indeed it does just Redid once more the install in the order stated in said manual post you linked and got the same error...  (yes with another clean setup... I am raping my SSDs at this rate)

from what I understand this is a buttons error, but this error shouldn't happen with CUP installations... right?

I don't install C.U.P. - JTW and cannot test itself by me.
Here is a general talk about aircraft modding.

assasing123's error log shows the DiffFM file "f84_fm" is missing.
Modded F-84E Thunderjet want to call the flightmodel "f84e.fmd" from the file "f84_fm", but that named file is missing .... cannot load its floghtmodel "f84e.fmd". The error log says so.

I don't know which part pf C.U.P. - JTW contains F-84E.
I searched each JTW topics, but no information.
At least, its latest single release version is Vega's F-84 pack + KB-29P v1.0 on 23 November 2016, here.
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,53064.0.html
His release pack contains "f84_fm", I checked.
Do you mind it ?

You definitely missed the step marked red.

sorry but no I did not miss it, I had no folders to delete since it was a clean install, and then I extracted it after everything else but just before the picker one.

Everyone has to delete the #DOF, #TGA, #WAW and #JTW folders before applying the "CUP Safety Net" step, as clean as your installation may be.
CUP Safety Net contains the file in question, in particular it resides in this location after installing CUP Safety Net:
"<Your Game Folder>\#JTW\Classes-FMs\"
It's in there, the size is 18.693 bytes.
If you don't have that file, then you missed that step or you didn't extract the "CUP Safety Net" pack in the right location.

Best regards - Mike
