Problem with BAT installation
« on: January 07, 2017, 01:45:58 PM »

I had a fresh install with the 4:12:2m patch installed over top. I then downloaded all 29 BAT files and the installer.exe to a folder called BAT on my desktop then ran the installer and set my directory to the il2 1946 steam directory. After it was installing only The Golden Age and Dawn of Flight work with World at War and The Jet Age quickly loading to 50% on the stock initial loading screen and then becoming stuck (clicking on the screen then makes il2 stop working). My #WAW2 folder has 57 mb of content, #TGA2 has 508 mb of content, #JTW2 has 34 mb of content, and #DOF2 has 432 mb of content. BAT00 has 20.3 gb of content, BAT01 has 3.75 gb of content, BAT03 has 2.8 gb of content, BAT04 has 6.2 gb of content.

I noticed that for some reason unpacker does not unpack everything for some people.
Unpack manually or you can use this unpacker which will scan the folder with your BAT zip archives, add them to queue in consecutive order and you can chose to unpack into your IL2 installation, leave it for 10 minutes and it will unpack everything.
At least thats what I did.

How do I select the directory to extract to when using the unpacker? I don't see an option.

After you scanned directory with BAT archives and have list of Bat archives on the main window, mark them (highlight in blue) click on first archive then holding shift click on the very last archive on the list after that call context menu from highlighted archives and select to unpack them to different directory after which navigate where you want them.
Here is old post where I demonstrated it with CUP archives but its pretty much the same with BAT.
