Got it, amen.

BTW: Now that I've saved the important things I did in CUP, missions, skins, etc.

I'm considering now just dumping my entire CUP install & keeping my two BAT installs. One for experimentation/backup & the other for operations/game play.

Dumping CUP would just be to save space on my hard drive.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Laen

Hi laugust5,  if it's within your means you may want to consider purchasing an external hard drive with enough storage to accommodate both installs and more with added peace of mind that everything's well backed up and you keep CUP

Well I must be the only one that still has no fly by sounds at all on WAW while I have them working in all the other eras like DOF etc...... really strange, and missing all those merlin sounds is a real pain.....

I converted them a while ago and I managed to find the link I've sent to DaveB, put them into #WAW\flyby_mono\samples\: https://www.ulozto.net/!44RbseUBQHwd/00-tiger-flybys-7z

Thank you Istvan, these are absolutely bloody marvelous!

This solves the missing flybys on any kind of setup.  I was looking at this solution too but, as ever, you were already there.  I have put together a 'Service Patch' to write these over the existing #WAW2 (to save disc space) and we should include them in the next complete Expansion Pack.  Definitely a MUST HAVE for B.A.T.  Thank you!  :) :) :) :) :)

Sir, thanks very much for all the help. Not just this issue, but several others that you've taken time to assist with the past few days. I'm sure it gets tiresome dealing with folks like myself who are not very conversant in the intricacies of computer game structure, files, etc. But your help is most appreciated.

Anyway, I followed your advice & "rolled back" my BAT installs (both) to the CLASSES-SOUND that existed before BATEXP03. I tested it with a few of my "problem" aircraft & all is well now. The flybysounds are back for all the aircraft I've tested.

I then installed the remaining BATEXP packs thru 05 part 2 & again all is still well.

My question for you is the following. If future BATEXP's contain new CLASSES-SOUND folders for #WAW2, am I safe to install them without this issue reoccurring?

Thanks again, I am very grateful for the whole wonderful BAT concept & overall experience using the game.

Laen

Will the new BAT Service 07 Tiger33 flyby fix interfere with the "rollback" to Classes-Sounds for #WAW to pre EXP 03 that I did on my BAT install, which solved my no flyby sound issue?

I'd hate to ruin what took so long for me to resolve in the first place with your help?

Thanks Laen

No, but surely, in the time it takes to type this, you could make a backup copy of your #WAW2 folder and try it! We do this all the time to test new stuff.  You are so cautious for a young man - dive in there, it will all be good!

Thanks for the confidence. Tested thru BAT service 07. All is well with the flybys, thus far.

Really grateful for BAT....but, Hoping to see JU-88A1 for BoB in BAT someday.
