now I am pretty sure its the hires probem (hopefully  :-|):

read the manual, its described there how to solve this problems with hi-res on page 6 (using dll2).
Also this hires thing was discussed in the "CUP becomes BAT" thread,
and in some other threads in BAT tech help section iirc.

Here is a post in this thread about this issues:

OK: This one is really solved now.

That dll.2, worked like a charm & I have Lancaster...Hopefully, I haven't lost any planes?

I'm sorry to have been so much trouble, but I'm in your debt. Where's the beer fund donation button?

Thanks & cheers.

Good question. I actually did try installing the dll.2 with my initial install of BAT.

At that time you suggested it, I didn't know about opening the technique of opening the 3d preview "view" window on the first page of the aircraft type before trying to do anything else with the problematic aircraft.

So, just loading dll.2 didn't "solve" the problem alone. It took a complete new install of BAT, going thru all that, then the last issue was the Lancaster, which now with dll.2 combined with the mentioned "technique" works.

It's been a lot of steps to solve this for me, since I didn't know about the long standing general FMB issue.

Thanks for your input, as well
