Back to issue with fuzes
« on: January 16, 2017, 01:17:45 PM »

I am reposting this query after doing some comparisons over the weekend. In CUP I definitely had the option of selecting delayed action fuzes in some of the standard loadouts for the mossie FBiv and biv. Also for the standard unmodded loadouts for other British bombers and fighter bombers. This seems to have changed across the board. I can also select these fuzes in VPM mod pack and the old DBW full Monty.
I know Monty you said the functionality is still there and I do see if for a minimal no of aircraft and loadouts. My issue is more that it is functionality that has been lost for a lot of Brit planes. Any way to get these fuzes back for some of the stock loadouts?

First idea....add the original mod in the appropriate mod folder...see if that works...you can also check if all the class files from the original mod have found their way into BAT...

Just to note that the two mossies I mentioned are both stock planes. Hence my confusion. Surely the fuse options should remain?

I just checked in a modded CUP with the fuses mod in and the Mosquitoes do not have Fuze choices in my game too just as in my BAT...guess that is because the fuses only work for US bombs as of now?

They did have in my cup with no us ordnance pack as I built and flew a whole range of low level missions using 11 second delay bombs with the mossie biv
I am talking the standard fuze options introduced in stock game not the advanced options in dreamk mods
Not sure what's going on!
So stock planes and stock fuse options which are now greyed out. The fuse options still also exist in unmodded 4.12 and vp modpack.

might have something to do with the problem reported here? (reply 139)

if that is the case, we might have to wait till DreamK releases his British ordonance package....

Looks like it, thanks. Here's hoping that we may be able to get a fix in meantime because I'm a low level devil and I will suffer over heavily defended targets at 500m plus!!!

Hehe well that's why I am mostly a Divebomber guy ever since I began to read Peter C. Smiths excellent books about the history of Divebombing...

Fully researched things this pm. So in CUP and VP mudpack all stock 250lb uk bombs have delayed action option but not 500lbers. Other more recently modded loadouts often have a mix - some bombs have fuse options (like 1000lb bombs in lanc) but others don't - however 250lb bombs do.
Those UK planes using US 250lb and 500lb bombs do have options and also more recent mods like Westland Whirlwind have fully functioning 250lb and 500lb bomb fuses. So its definitely impacting stock UK bombs whatever it is - maybe the Typhoon pack. I notice VPM is using a slightly older version (the SAS pack) for the typhoon and tempest - as Griffon says this may be likely candidate.
I will leave it there as I think I have done this one to death but any help - like an option to redact the typhoon and tempest pack to an earlier version would be appreciated - I have tried putting the older version in mods but it doesn't work as the air.ini is different
