...I don't know what the min specs are but I had no fps drop with my previous rig,( P4 2.66 Ghz, 2 gigs of RAM and a 7600GT) so you should be comfortable with yours, unless other settings, conf.ini, NVidia panel (AA or Aniso) or else are too "greedy" ...

If I understand this install correctly, you have to delete/un-install any P-47 mods you have installed, but here's the problem where are they located with in HSFX, how do you find them. I must have something conflicting within my install because I get fps in the low 10-20 when I have this mod installed. When I un-install it my fps are back in the 50-60 range. I just don't know but I would love to have this mod working correctly.  Thanks  TC

... yep, as written in the read-me you have to deactivate all other P47 mods in your install and may be also POV mods related to the P47 ... :)

Since I don't use a pack I have no idea where these other P47 pits might be in an HFSX install, but I am sure there are plenty of gentlemen here who know  ...  ::) ;D

Those files are in the .sfs files so you can't deactivate them but you don't need to do that.
Simply put the Freddy's P-47 cockpit in the MODS folder and you will be ok ;)

Edited:  I've done that and still getting the big hit on fps to point were game is unplayable.

I went back and tried this again after I updated my drivers for my video card and I can now use this mod however there is still a problem I have to nail down and that's the mirror issue, when I disable the mirror my fps are mid 55-60 in the cockpit but as soon as I activate the mirror my fps drop to 25-30 still playable but with stutter which may at some point lock up the game. When I'm in the cockpit with the mirror activated it appears to be attached to the top center of the canopy but if I switch to outside views I see the standard round mirror on the outside of the canopy, don't know if that's how it's suppose to be but that's what I'm getting. Any Idea's?    Thanks TC

...it is quite normal that you get a fps drop when you activate the mirror, simply because your GC has to calculate the extra frames your mirror now shows ...  ;)

In the P-47D folder I'm showing 641 Files is this correct?  Also I have no issues with Freddy P-51 cockpit mod what so ever, only the 47 and I just can't nail it down. I believe the mirror is causing the problem, can't confirm if all 47 mod are deactivated because I don't know whats in or where in the sfs files to look and what to look for. But what I do know is that something is in conflict.  TC

Both download links come up with "Problem loading page". Are the P-47 files available anywhere else?

Cheers, MP

Not exactly. It looks the same, but it is reworked to save some fps I think (Kumpel can tell better)

I would guess that he indexed the targa files to decrease size, but if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck them most likely it is a duck.
