No Full/Wide screen
« on: January 17, 2017, 06:23:29 PM »

Hi B.A.T. folks,

First off, WOW !
Still trying to grasp all the work youve done  in CUP , and now BAT (coming straight from 4.12/ many. many mods added).
IT's simply amazing, and delightfully overwhelming !

My 'issue', im certain, lays with ME  - not an issue with B.A.T.
I cannot get a FULL/WIDE screen display to present, regardless of what i click in the video options, or in my config.ini settings (using a 1920x1080 monitor).

Is there something like the od ECRAN WIDE or similar JSGME that i need to install, or some setting im missing?
I have installed and updated BAT up to the current Expansion pack #5 part two,

thakns again for all the effort, and any help !

Try checking the resolution of your computer and the game. They might be off.

This is to do with newer hardware types and is especially an issue with 1920 X 1080 screens.  Your screen resolution is set manually inside CONF.ini.  But no matter what you do the Il2 Menu screen image is off to one side and doesn't fit.

The solution is to right click your executable, Il2fb.exe - depending on your O/S from the drop down select 'compatibility' and then 'disable dpi scaling'.

Re-Check your sreenres settings in CONF.ini, then prepare to enter the insanely packed B.A.T. universe!

Thanks gents,

i had NO probs with wide/full screen in the 4.12.2 version i am running...so i checked the config file, and 'thought' i had settings the same (incl resolution), but still had a 'windowed' screen.
so, i swapped the WHOLE config.ini FROM that version into BAT - and volia !...success. but DOF that i tried was choppy. so in must have to do some tinkerin'.
I hadnt heard of the 'dpi scaling' before, so i will give that a go.

thanks for SPEEDY replies...still such a FANTASTIC piece of work gents !!!!
