I try to do that with the QMB in DBW but there are only 3 maps of Spain (Ebro River, Madrid and Madeira). They work fine. The Andalucia is not in that list.
How can I try it if not with the QMB?
I'm lost!  ::)

You can open the map in the FMB ... then you place planes where you wish, planes of your choice and start a mission. If you don't know how to make your own missions, then I think you'd better look for a tutorial on the subject. It's not hard to do, but this is not something I can explain in 1..2..3

I did and I can see the map fine.
I have to read the tutorial and try it.
Can they be place in the QMB folder to be used or is not possible?
It looks great.
I left a message about the one of Ifni ...   ;)

I don't think that normal missions can be made in the FMB and then placed in a QMB folder to be played there. Il-2 doesn't work that way.

When you make a mission in FMB, you should fly it in FMB ... There are a whole number of parameters that have to be fulfilled to make QMB missions. I've been playing the game since 2007 and have still not managed to make a QMB mission. FMB missions are much easier to make on your own all things considered.

I tried and it works. I'm now learning about the FMB and playing around with it on The Canary Islands map that I found by the Halcones Rojos.
Thanks

This map is a stock version of the BAT on TGA & WAW. It's a beautiful map and it works well.
However, I experience a stutter that is almost comparable to game-freezing in certain situations when I perform some campaign.
So I want to try the old Andalucia map that consists of 512 tex.
Agracier is offering an old map, but unfortunately the 'Tex' folder is missing.

I'd appreciate it if someone could provide a full old Andalucia map file with a Tex folder.
I'm sorry I think I brought up the old-fashioned story.

Thank you.

I have the same problem with that map, gunny. The old one might be  a good idea if we can find the textures.

The old Andalucia map's Tex folder appears to consist of ag/Andalucia, ag/Spain...
It doesn't seem to be a problem to convert 1024 tex to 512 tex in the new Andalucia's Map Tex folder.
That is, the components of load.ini seem to be different from each other.
And...I've read the last comment and I see users running both maps with load.ini and load_2.ini.
So I expect the old map's full file to appear soon.

In fact I checked and the original download of the ag_Andalucia map never had the textures attached. These were included in the beta version and other Spain maps such as ag_Cartagena. I put together an Agracier old texture folder but it seems to me that resizing the new textures would yield better results.

You can find below a link for a file that has the old textures that should work with the original load.ini and a second _tex folder that contains the bigger textures with color depth reduced from 24 bit to 8 bit this should be sufficient for the retextured map to display without stuttering

Hi, Frankiek.
The files you provided are the ones I was looking for.
I did the same mission with the files you provided.

1024 tex Map - The terrain is exquisitely represented. However, in certain situations, there is an extreme stutter. A regular flight user might not feel this stutter. The reason why stutter happens to me is because I use a lot of external views on 360-degree angle (especially for enemy planes).

512 tex map - the terrain is expressed in a clumpy without the elaboraton. However, the stuttering does not happen in any case.

This will eventually be a matter of choice for users,
Many thank you.

And...for reference, the error message when I have a stutter (or game-freezing, if very severe) in the new map was the same as in the post below.

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,73331.msg796872.html#msg796872

I can use the old map if I need it now, so I just want to refer to it the error message.

Thank you.
