Halifax sound
« on: January 20, 2017, 10:51:28 AM »

BAT is a wonderful new addition to our game but I hope no one will mind a bug being pointed out in a spirit of help and assistance. My Halifax lacked engine noise inside or out. After much research I have found the problem was a conflict with the smoke and flame mod. If I don't use that mod the Halifax sound is fine. This is not serious problem since I can just use one or the other but I thought I ought to point it out since there seem to be other sound problems. I also wonder whether this is just my problem or have others encountered it? I might add that there seems to be no problem with other aircraft that use the Bristol Hercules engine so far as I can see.

it's hard to provide clear answers when you use words like 'seem to be' ... can you please be specific as to exactly what other sound issues you might have, to help us figure it out...?

Yes, I should have been clearer. I didn't mean that I myself have more sound problems but that others have. There is a thread in this very section started by laugust5 about issues with flyby sounds. See here: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,53599.0.html and I seem to remember there was another comment in the main download thread but I can't remember where it was in more than 50 pages.
