Middle East 1943
« on: February 13, 2017, 11:29:37 AM »

23 mission static campaign, built with BAT up through expansion pack 7.
Download it here:

http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=2369

Unzip the download to the NN-none folder in the Single Missions folder of your install.

This is a fictional, "what-if" campaign, set in 1943.  Campaign begins with British forces being pushed out of Iraq, then caught between Axis armies in Syria and Egypt.

Player aircraft are from a wide range of RAF and USAAF fighters and medium bombers, all with the 1943 time label.

Dear Eyler,
very fine job but I have some trouble with the TempestFB2 which is nacked: rockets appear in the weapons folder of the Tempest but in spite of this and of Wikipedia there are no rocket available in FMB and QMB.
I don't know where it is coming from.
Best regards.

So if I follow your question, the Tempest FB2 displays rockets in the drop down weapons list, but when you fly the mission, your Tempest is carrying no rocket load out?

Dear Eyler,
that's it. I checked again with FMB and QMB. None of the Tempests accept rockets. I use BAT. I remember having read somewhere that the weapons folders were given just as an indication.
Your missions are super.
Best regards.

Thank you. I'd suggest posting your question in the BAT Tech Help thread. Those folks are very helpful.

Explore your BATMODS a bit more.  Use JSGME, look at what's in there.

Unzip the download to the NN-none folder in the Single Missions folder of your install.

I tried doing the above, on BAT thru EP12.  Downloaded and unzipped just fine, into the NN single mission folder.  Looked in explorer, it was there.  Started the game, went to single missions, None, and it wasn't.  Did this two or three times to make sure I had done it as you said.  Downloaded again to make sure there wasn't an issue with the download.  Just for giggles, I unzipped it into CUP, same way, and it worked like a charm.  Any ideas?  I would like to play your missions, but in BAT they just "disappear".  Thanks for any thoughts.

If you unzip the single files from within the included folder, it won't work.

Extract the whole folder "Middle East 1943" into \Missions\Single\NN\ folder.

It will then show up under None when selecting airforce.

Best regards,
Mike.

Thank you.  I will try it.  I have this problem where I unzip a file into a temp folder and then copy it into the mission folder (in this case NN).  Gonna have to see whether I can make this work.  You know how us old guys are.  Pretty think and set in their (our) ways. ;)

Hahahahahaha, set in our ways yes, thick never. Just a few thousand braincells missing, from what we used to have.  ;D ;)

If you open the NN folder in your 1946 install.

Then open the zip file, you can then just drag the whole  Middle East 1943 folder from the zip into the NN folder.

I hope you get it working, ol' Navy.

Best wishes,
Mike.

I'm not quite sure I ever had that many to begin with.  Attrition is ever increasing.  Thanks.
