DCG and BAT
« on: February 13, 2017, 06:06:47 PM »

I wasn't real sure where this question should go, so if it belongs someplace else please tell me.  And also let me apologize in advance if this has been covered previously.  I try to read most everything new that is posted so I may have missed it (very likely :-[).  But now for the question - does DCG work with BAT?  I was very proud of myself sometime ago when I finally figured out DCG and CUP  (with a bunch of help from this forum).  Actually got it working.  Now I don't know whether to attempt it or not with BAT.  Will it/should it, work?  As usual, my fear is that I will break something I can't fix.  Thank you for any advice you can give.

DCG should work with BAT. (The patch was included in later versions of CUP, so BAT should be compatible with DCG.)

Yes, dcg works with BAT. I am currently updating and retesting my campaigns with the intent of providing BAT versions.

Good news mate.  I am totally ignorant of DCG but have tried it in the past.  I am also interested in being able to modify DGen for ourselves, so we can have a modified DGen just for B.A.T. which has more variety and types of aircraft than anywhere else.

When you have your content together I believe it will be well worth making a dedicated DCG section for B.A.T. - Requirements, how to install it, and all the lovely new campaigns etc...

What is DCG ? Don't know anything about it. Have BAT,VP modpack and a fully updated version. Back-ups on a external ssd. Still learning about Il-2 '46. Playing catch up to be up to speed on the latest mods. Mainly want missions and campaigns for the BAT and VP installs. But have the bug now and am hooked by all the mods available. Much to learn i just don't want to mod more than a chance to play. Have many other sims so they compete for attention . Having the most fun with BAT more than any other sim. Regards,Scott

I am glad for the above, especially that someone beside myself is interested.  Seldom am I successful with anything (DCG, etc) outside of the basic install of BAT, CUP, etc., until I receive a bunch of help from the folks here at this forum and after a lot of trial and error.  That is what happened with DCG and CUP.  About the time it was up and running and the campaigns were working, then here came BAT and I thought I was out of luck.  Not so apparently, and I appreciated being told so.  Thanks for all your help.
