G'day ALL,
We used to have the "ZONE" where we could fly multi player with others from around the world. ( ahhh the simple and fun days of yor)
NOW, we have Hyperlobby, which is great , BUT, there is an issue with those from the Oceanic and southern hemisphere being able to join ANY hyperlobby games due to the rooms being stuck with 300 and under timeouts.
How much and how difficult is it to make and run a similar thing like hyperlobby. ?
I would only be setting it up for flying IL2 1946  - MS Flight Simulators etc. in effect ONLY flight simulators and Combat flight simulators, as CFS 2 and now CFS3 which is now much improved since they let it out to play freely, it's no where NEAR AS BAD as it was when it first crawled it's miserable head into our hearts (LOL).
I would ALSO have it set so other countries could still be able to join. Of course it would be free with maybe a tiny tiny cost for those hosting dedicated servers as there are in hyperlobby. Nothing as expensive as hyperlobby though. But we have a very very large group of flyers who can no longer enjoy playing against others from other countries, due to hyperlobby's owners banning players from like me, here in Australia. Well not really banned, but it may as well be because we can no longer join any rooms/servers.
THAT SAID ... does SAS server allow us Aussies into your room ? or is this too, locked in at low timeout settings ? I don't know, so that is why I am asking. Because if I get into the room/server I would be ecstatic ! as I can NO LONGER PLAY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE anymore. !      the tears a welling up as I type !.
PLEASE help and explain to me what I need to make an alternative hyperlobby  .... PLEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZ

ps. since BAT is very much a standardised modded version of our game we love ... is there a BAT version allowable room ?

This sounds interesting. Though I cannot help with creating such a program, I would be happy to try using it if one became available. I have very good internet connection, but still seem to have quite a few problems when using Hyperlobby.

Lol, we would love that but I'm sure you realize that any online server with BAT would be riddled with a ridiculous amount of lag! BAT is certainly the most complete modpack, but it has far too much content to run online very well. Hence the reason for the lack of BAT servers in HL. Packs like BAT and VP are best suited to offline use.

Since when does hyperlobby charge anything for dedicated servers?
AFAIK they fund themselves through donations .. and, quite frankly .. those HL accounts for dedicated servers are not different from "normal" user accounts; therefore if we had to pay for the server account you had to pay as well

We allow everyone to join our Server .. regardless which country they come from
I can't recall the specific timeout settings atm, but one of our clown members is from Australia and he never had problems with timeout. Sure, he has high ping, but aside from that everything is fine.

If hyperlobby doesn't allow you to join our server you might want to try connecting directly (IP see here).

sorry, but BAT is an offline modpack.
