Issue with condensation trails / tracers

Hi all,
In high altitude missions with many planes (e.g. B17 intercept missions) there is the Problem that only some planes have condensation trails (sometimes flickering) and when I am shooting the Tracer is not visible at medium and short distances.
Does anybody know a solution? Is it possible to deactivate the condensation trails or shall I reduce the altitude to ca. 6800m to avoid the condensation trails.
