B-239 artifacts
« on: February 25, 2017, 05:26:05 PM »

FYI B-239, internal view, artifacts ahead. Not in stock, HSFX, or CUP/WAW, but it is there in BAT and VPMOD. Has something to do with cockpit retexturing. Other versions of the Buffalo are OK.

Sniperton, I noticed the same thing when I upgraded to BAT. The half wind screen just above the cockpit combing really shows when you rotate the view left and right.

A question for you regarding the lower left data blocks and the red information at the top of the screen. How do you get that? I would like to duplicate it.

Thanks

Enable #WAW_00-PalsVisualMOD9-v4122 through JSGME, assign a key to the "game" command in Controls, press that key while in-game, then customize it to your liking. There are lot of features there (including 3D), I only use the extended speedbar and the fps report function.

If you only want the fps, you can simply include "@fps START SHOW" in the rcu file in the game folder.

Thanks for the information. Just two more questions, do you use any entries in your config.ini file for this and last what is the full name of the rcu file you mentioned.

Thanks

Wel than I received a LB (Low Budget) version of BAT  :)  :) as the green lines in your message were not added automaticaly. Spend half a Sunday finding them, reading quite a few old posts in the proces. But its working ok now.

Well, my intention with this post was to alert users and modders that something is wrong with the B-239. All the rest is only a side effect.  ;) VisualMod is an excellent tool, but it's working is exceptionally poorly documented (read: you have to take it as it is, and to try to find out what's inside the black box, exactly as you did)  ;D

Sorry for the unintended hy-jack Sniperton. I can confirm you findings on the artifact, not in CUP only in BAT

Sniperton, thanks again for the information, one other note on the B-239, the altimeter only goes to 5k feet, although this was true from the base IL-2 install. I used the single mission Finland B-239 as a install check going from 4.07 to BAT EP05. It was fun to watch the aircraft change and I got to know it fairly well.

No problem, I was happy to assist you, Sir, and I am happy you can confirm my issue (so that I don't have to feel like a lone idiot)  :D
