Anyone use Trackhat head tracking ?

This looks quite good and cheaper than a lot of head tracking gear.....especially with the clip.

Anyone using it, or know how well the Opentrack software works with IL2 ?

I use Opentrack with a self-hacked PS3 camera and a DIY cap. It took some time to customize the response curves to my liking, but now it works fine for me with 60 FPS. Smooth movements, no lags. The whole thingy costed me 20 euros altogether, this is the bare minimum you have to spend on head tracking.
This is basically the same configuration as what Trackhat offers for 70+ euro (including VAT). If you really can't afford a TrackIR (which is reportedly superior), and if you don't want to fiddle with DIY solutions, Trackhat with Opentrack should be fine for you in Il-2.

This. They have significantly overpriced it for the 'intermediate' of a difficulty of a task it is to modify the PS3 camera. The camera itself is literally 5-7 dollars on Ebay and Amazon at a Brand New quality. It's a fun and easy DIY task if you're a flight simmer looking for something new.
