Bat 07 CTD at 60%

Hi all,
I see that someone else has had a similar problem with Bat 07. Followed the instructions to the letter, and extracted correctly, but now a CTD at 60%. Could be a faulty d/load, but I don't think so. Will try again, but meanwhile, here's the log;

Also this is the wrong log. you posted the initlog.lst and you need just the log.lst

I haven't got a log.lst that I can find. Did a search of the folder and it's not there. I've checked all my other versions too, and they don't have it either.
Also, the splash screen is not showing BAT version 2. I've downloaded the zip file, and applied it again, but still getting the same ctd at 60%

Do you set your conf.ini to write out log.lst ?

When you've done it, but still no log.lst in your game root folder ,
I wonder you've installed your IL-2 1946 under C:/Program Files (x86)/ and log.lst is redirected to Virtual Store by Windows' UAC function.
Or if so, conf.ini is also redirected there and you cannot edit it directly in game root folder, enabling conf.ini writing out setting maybe also ignored.


and and .... that maybe the reason you failed to install BAT.

Spot on with the conf.ini Western0221, thank you for the advice. None of the il2 installs are in the x86 program files folder, so I should get a correct log now. Meanwhile, I'm going to try a fresh install over a virgin 12.2, as I read somewhere on a post here that a ctd at 60% could be due to missing class files in BAT 05 section. After that, I'll post a new log if it still doesn't work.

After a complete fresh install, I'm still getting a ctd, only now its at 70%. All was fine up to and including the BATEXP06, but the BATEXP07 install appears to be causing a problem. Extracts from the log file below. Hope the posting is right this time.

Another, earlier post with the same errors, and there appear to be a couple of others too. Does this mean a new download of BAT 00 required, and for the ships and objects errors I have, is that related, or is it part of a BATEP07 corruption? Be grateful for any advice.

Finally got it to work at the 4th fresh install. Suspected that some of the files in BATEP 07 were being extracted into the wrong folders, so put all of the folders in manually, then overwrote them a second time using the extractor, and all was fine. Should have twigged this earlier, as
7 Zip was extracting in all the wrong places when I first tried a BAT install.
Looks like a great expansion,thanks all for the work, and for bearing with my trials.
