BAT install issue
« on: March 15, 2017, 12:17:26 PM »

I have downloaded the 29 zip files and BAT v1.0_setup installer from the BAT manual into a separate folder on my desktop. When I run the installer directed at my copy of my il2 version 4.12.2 from steam saved to the desktop, I get the message that all 29 BAT zip files are damaged and it is aborting the installation. Any help is appreciated.

Is your steam folder in the "Program files" folder on the C drive? If so get it out of there to any other location on your drive(s)! The Programs folder has some nasty M$ protection that fucks things up!

My steam folder is in the C drive under Program files (x86). I made a copy of the game and moved it to the desktop though, and that's the copy i'm trying to install BAT in. Not sure what else it could be...

I had the same issue. Make sure the installer is in the same folder with the parts, as in actually physically inside the folder with the separate zip files.

Move the copy of the complete game folder (IL2 1946 or whatever it´s name is) to another palce on your drive and then install the BAT. On the desktop you only get a shortcut to the actual location, in your case C://program files, which makes no difference!

I figured it out, I didn't have the installer physically inside with the zip files. Instead, the installer was still in its own folder, as DaveP63 said. Thanks!
