go RTFM before even considering asking another question like this.....

RTFM - Read the F Manual

Consider this a survival tip ;)

More difficult than it sounds.
A WW1 plane could fly well below the F16 stall speed.
Infrared/radar locks would be weak at best.
A biplane could easily snap turn out of any 'tailing' approach by the jet.

The best option would be a close pass at Mach1+ and let the shock wave break the biplane.

Completely agree jpten,
being so small, so slow and with such a underpowered engine, it can be rather difficult to shot down a vintage biplane with a modern jet.
A 'taran' could also be a good option (Taran = aerial ramming, a tactic used by Russian pilots consisting in a controlled ramming into the enemy plane. It was not a suicidal attack like in kamikazes. Properly done, the ramming pilot had some chances to survive).

However, if someone wish to try such an unbalanced duel, there are some planes in JTW that can be used as surrogates for WWI biplanes. Try with propeller singles such as the Stinsons (PA11, PA18...).
Another challenging experience is trying to shot down a Jetman (in experimental section). I've never tried with an F16, but in the times of CUP I remember trying with a MiG-15 and I didn't manage to bring him down. It is extremely small and fast!!!

If you only wish to bring havoc to helpless ducks (I admit that some days I only want to destroy easy preys) I recommend attacking the heaviest bombers you can find.

No, to have all modules in one inst folder isn't possible due to the old Il-2 engine.
It simply can't handle such a amount of mods. Exactly for this reason BAT
was divided into this period modules.
You can try to install the Biplane(s) you want to have there into the JTW module
on your own risk (find them in the aircraft/wwi section), but I would not recommend
to try the reverse way, is too complicated if not impossible.

If you do so I advice to make a copy of the JTW folder and do this "experiments" there,
then add a entry in the il2fb.ini to start this thing. Good luck.

Not WWI aircraft of course, but there is Po-2 (U-2) biplane in JTW.

Thank you Gerhard, Bob, Jim, Poltava and Nyali!  Its GREAT to see so many informed users understand B.A.T. and answer the question.
My longer term goal is campaigns and missions to put this material into proper context.  B.A.T. has stimulated many others to do this and I want to get my material out there too.

As Dimlee points out, the early jet era was replete with real life mis-matches.  The Korean war saw widespread use of technology pre and post jet age and there is a well documented case of a CIA Huey shooting down an AN2 over the Laos border.  The first Israeli war of independance/survival saw a lot of post WWII mixed up as well as developments such as the S-199 upgraded 109, balwark of the Nazi Luftwaffe, purchased from Czechoslovakia by the new Jewish nation!  To cover the cross-over period the Jet Age contains this eclectic flightline.

Quick missions and challenges are all very well to discuss as theories, but we have the ability to simulate a bombing run against a defended target, historic dogfights under circumstances that actually occurred and mind numbingly fast intercepts, iron hand and CCIP.  The reality we are able to reflect is more astonishing than any excercise or fairy tale.
