After some years I came back to IL-2 1946 and the BAT mod. 3 or 4 years ago I played the whole SCW campaign by Monty (outstanding atmosphere!) as it wa available. At that time only part 1 was available (campaigns roughly until 1937). In the pdf printout included in the zip file on top of this forum is mentioned that there should exist a part 2 of the SCW campaign. But I cannot find the files/campaigns/missions for this second part neither in the zip file on top nor in the most current BAT installation (4.2.2 with hotfix 4). Has this second part ever been released for BAT or does it not exist until now? Will it be released somewhen or is the project terminated?

This campaign can works on 4.12.2m, BAT 4.0, #WAW3.

Of course, I see small error messages such as Decals etc...

However, there is no major problem with the operation.

You have to find and install some old plane, and then you can enjoy this campaign by just having to edit the mission a little.

I like the romantic campaign like a this style.

Thank you.

Played on BAT 4.0 #WAW3, there are some error messages about decals.

The message is that Spanish decal BK159, BK163, BK164, and BK165 have been missed.

To avoid this error, I made 4 TGA files using BMP files with my poor Photoshop ability.

There is no error message now.

However, no matter how hard I try, the background of decal is not made transparent (...made transparent, but the background does not change when saved).

So, If anyone have these decals in the UltraSpain mod, I'd appreciate it if you could share.

I'm not asking for hard extraction from the SFS file.

If you just have these in the Decal folder, I'd appreciate it if you could share them.

But I'm fine to say they don't exist.

Thank you !!

Screenshot that seems to have been misapplied with decal

I got this from an old sfs extraction of UP3.4 I hope it will work. In case they don't my suggestion would be to dump the files using Il-2 selector

Thank you !!

The files you provided seem to be the trick files (...for making the errors not happen) that make decals invisible rather than weird looking decals.

I'll use these files.

However, I will continue to study so that the right decals can be realized.

I was wondering as when I tried to open the files with gimp and IMF viewer they come up as simple black textures 128x128 I will check with dump mode as sometimes the sfs extractor is not working very well with TGA

Thank you for your help and consideration.

Now, my #WAW3 has become so huge that I can't even think about upgrading.

So if I want to play a different mod of campaign, I install it on #WAW3.

That's actually far-fetched, but with a little bit of editing, the mission works well.

That's why I'm making this request.

I hope there's an understanding.

Thank you.

I believe that most of the BAT sfs files have been made using TotalMODder by benitomuso (PAL), this application allows you to decompress 100% of the files included in the sfs files.

No problems Gunny sometimes is nice to investigate lesser known aspects of IL-2.

I actually discovered that even though Ultraspain has a BK151.tga is lacking the ESNum_BK151.mat (and all the others I suppose) and that a similar error appears in BAT-TGA and DBW1.7-SCW.

Furthermore if  you add the missing mat file the error goes away with no visible effect in game. I suppose that indeed the BK151.tga (and all the others of the series) are just void tga.

Erafitti extracting the sfs file in BAT is easy what is difficult is to know which one of the tens of BAT sfs file you need to open :)

I got a perfect BK151.tga file from here-forum a few days ago.

So, I am considering the idea of copying this file and renaming it as BK159, BK163, BK164, and BK165 respectively.

That way, there will definitely be an effect of showing decals well.

I'm thinking of using it like this until someone extracts the original tga files.

Thank you.

After copying and renaming, I tried applying BK151.tga decals to to the applicable planes.

It looks good.

So, I wonder what the actual original TGAs will look like !!

Thanks for this !

Currently I am reading the read-me, wondering if any new scenery/terrain has to be added to BAT ?

But I'm sure it will be stated later in the document.

I'm reading the document, but....I gotta snicker sir.. "permission to snicker sir...permission denied...may have to snicker anyways, Sir....." (great excerpt from the funny Red Dwarf brit comedy).

"Democratically elected gov't of Spain... vs the Fascist overthrowers...?"

I could point you to some long-ish detailed documents from actual witnesses, people that were there, in the Gov't that prove the Republican gov't was INSTALLED... by marxist interests... and there are many in Spain that know this.

Why do I feel the right to touch on politics in a flight sim?  Because rather than talking details on installation of the package, answering questions people might have and sticking to ..."let's play this fun campaign"... there seems to be plenty of bias and political topic in the readme..

It doesn't matter in the end... Just hoping I have everything to play this great-looking campaign and thanks for your work !!
