I would like to standardize mapping controls across Il-2 standard, BAT, CUP etc.

Can this be done by copying / pasting part of the config file?

vpmedia is right, you make a standard control setting you´re satisfied with for a name in the users folder. then you can use those settings whereever you want. you can make it the default,ini in the users folder (I did renaming the default to orgdefault.ini for backup) and copy it to any install you have renaming it to settings.ini when you put it in a "name" folder.
