Quote
Hi!

Today installed BAT for the first time.

My game don't show nimitz class carrier, is a my issue or is generalized?

Hello Filippo

Its all there mate.   You can even jump straight to the Nimitz from QMB - The missions are called JTW_Navy Trials.  From there you may choose a number of different carriers.

Its also in FMB under ships and stationary ships. - ONLY in the Jet Age Module of course...

No Monty, i cannot find the Nimitz class carrier in QMB and in FMB, the slot seems empty.

I explain, the nimitz exist in ship list but I cannot chose it and game don't show, no prewiew too.

And i have not the "JTW_Navy Trials" missions in QMB.

Here log.

Well you have an incomplete install my friend.  JTW_Navy Trials was updated with Nimitz at Expansion Seven.  Its in there and the download has been verified many times by now.

Missing 3Do is usually due to missing SFS - The critical ones for The Jet Age are inside folder BAT04.   This folder should be 7.39Gb in size and contains SFS files JTW01.SFS to JTW49.SFS.

Assuming the first part of the install went OK its really easy now to install Expansion Packs One to Nine by putting each one on top of the other.  Once you have done Expansion Nine STOP and do the CHECKPOINT.

CHECKPOINT will provide four new clean mod folders, necessary because of cumulative changes to weapons packs and EngineMOD.

After you have deleted and replaced your mod folders you can continue with Expansion Ten and Eleven.  The Nimitz came in with Seven.

This log entry
Code: [Select]
INTERNAL ERROR: Texture Buffer (limit 4202496 Bytes)is to small to fit 16777216 Bytes!indicates that your game is not capable of using HD textures, but the Nimitz definitely needs that.
BAT ships with HD texture mod included and on page 6 of the manual you can find an explanation about the two different DLL sets used to achieve full cross-compatibility with almost every existing half-contemporary PC setups.

The only exception might be Intel HD CPU-integrated graphics solutions.
I'm not sure whether they are able to handle textures of more than 4MB at all and if so, you might need to switch to DirectX mode to get there.

So if you, Vega, are using Intel HD CPU-based graphics, then please try to change to DirectX mode, try the alternative DLLs (see page 6 of the BAT manual) and if all of this fails, buy a suitable GPU for IL-2 ;)

Best regards - Mike

As mentioned in the, rather massive, Manual.  The HD Mod does vary according to operating systems and setups.  There are accordingly, two sets of BATDLLS.  BATDLLS-01 and BATDLLS-02.  One of either set always works. BATDLLS-01 installs with default.  BATDLLS-02 is the alternative choice if your HD Mod is not working properly.

Quickest way to check - Launch The Jet Age, look at the Hind E Helo.  If your Gorby looks normal, you are good to go.  If it is a hideous pink, grab BATDLLS-02.

I think this is probably the issue actually, check that Hind out mate!  ;D

*************************

HIGH DEFINITION DYNAMIC LINK LIBRARY - BATDLLS-01 OR BATDLLS-02?

Described on Page-6 of the B.A.T. Manual - make sure you satisfy these conditions before proceeding.

We have experienced different results with regard to the High-Res True Colour mod Dll’s, necessary for many of the newer mod features.

The first set BATDLLS-01 is installed by default. The second set BATDLLS-02 will resolve issues for systems that do not get on with the first set: Simply UnZIP to your main Il2 Install and over-write.

Great to have you aboard mate!

Pathway for JTW-NavyTrials is Il2BAT...missions/QuickQMBPro/JTW-NavyTrials.  These were provided with B.A.T. Expansion Pack Seven.
