BAT has come with extra cost to me.  I don't say that in a bad way.  Uh-uh, it is actually an inspirational thing.

10 Gig - IL2 1946 Steam
50 Gig - IL2 1946 + VP Modpack (and all old missions and campaigns)
70 Gig - IL2 1946 + BAT mod

Then because of desire to get three monitors running at 7680 x 1440 at highest fps, bought new PC that arrived today with 2xGTX 1080 NVidia cards and 4 TB of storage, I'm now more prepared for future BAT updates.

Now granted, my old PC had six+ years on it and it is still working fine, but it was getting tight on storage, and the ATI card was doing okay, but just not good enough.

So BAT cost me, in a good way.  Unbelievable that the base game as old as it is, drives users to even better hardware many years later.

IL-2 nevere ceases to amaze

Saving up enough dough for a new gaming rig. Still this is not a expensive hobby if you look at other hobbies like fishing,hunting,target shooting ,guitar and others. Looking on spending under $1500 to have a rig that will be good a number of years. Plus i can pick whatever OS i want which is Win 7 64bit.Will save a lot of money and have the best hardware available if i build it myself.

I have a couple versions right now for trouble shooting, but once all the kinks are out I hope to delete a lot of versions.

I'm building a high-end version.....Just a few more months to wait...Il-2 and CFS3 both could both use a better rig than i have now. Miss my old gaming rig and XP but must change with the times.

I can't do high-end, but I'll be happy with any affordable upgrade. IL2 runs well enough, but I need some extra oomph! in my CPU, that's for sure.

What kind of high-end are you looking at?

They also have budget builds also. The only difference in my build and the high-end build is two larger SSD's instead of one. Once you go SSD there is no looking back. So much faster loading and cooler/less power demanding. After much researching the site listed is one of the most easy to learn all that is needed to walk you through the process . Will save over a thousand dollars to boot and have all i could want in a gaming rig. Will use Win 7 64 bit as my OS because i hate Win 10 to say the least. All the hardware listed has been tested and are the best names in the pc world. ASUS, Intel,Coolmaster,corsair and more.
