I'm flying a Sopwith Schneider in Marty's #3 mission of Gallipoli and you have to bomb a moving train in bad weather. I don't get close. My biggest problem is I drop the bombs below the correct altitude, which I think is 500 meters, and they fail to explode. If I bomb higher, they explode, but it is way too high for accuracy on a moving train. My main problem is cockpit on all the time and I can't see anything unless in a dive, and that gets me in trouble on the height wise issue and bomb fails to explode.
It starts to get frustrating after the 10th attempt, where 8 attempts were bombs not exploding. So I could really use some advice on how to toss these WWI iron bombs at a moving target, keeping it in sight for some accuracy without flying below the margin where the bomb fails to explode. I feel if I don't improve, they are going to ground me.
PS: Flew this mission again and hit the train with the bombs, took out entire train, engine and 8 cars, got 9 ground target credits. However, explosion took out my engine as well and I landed behind enemy lines with engine on fire. Wounded, but alive. Guess there is a reason for that bombing height.
