Thanks,
so crashes with DCGEN, BAT and the standard campaigns have to be expected, but with this one it should run relatively stable, right?
Will try it out later this week.

I've been playing a few missions and noticed that sometimes a mission starts without a cockpit. If that happens, exit mission, restart Il-2 and reload the campaign. The very same mission works fine.

I have no idea why.

But yes, it is stable.

Many thanks for this campaign, but it is unplayable here.

Like a slide show, something i have never encountered in 1946 or CLOD before.

Best regards,
Mike.

Hi Shakaali, I installed DCG and all seems to be ok. Then I installed BOG in Italian side but I can't choose any Italian airplane. The only option was the GE-23 Delfin.....

Now I have the campaign with GE-23 Delfin....

Maybe I make some mistakes? I follow step by step this intructions.... https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,20872.msg225690.html#msg225690 including this step: "Starting of a 3rd party campaign without extra files for DGen:"

Thanks for your help! Ciao!

Marco

Edit: oopsss....my mistake! I have not done double click on aircraft selector....sorry!!

Yes, the campaign can be pretty heavy. Open DCG, go to "Campaign Settings Panel", try lowering the "Squadron Density" and/or "Stationary Object Density" and/or "Maximum Flights Per Squadron".

My settings are:

Squadron Density  = Moderate
Column Density= Full
Stationary Object Density = Full
Maximum Flights Per Squadron = One

Runs smoothly on my AMD FX-4350 CPU and AMD Radeon R7 360 GPU. If I raise "Squadron Density" to "Heavy", FPS starts to drop.

Thanks Shakaali, tried your settings and it is still exactly the same.

i7-4790K, 32GB sys mem, GTX660. Has to be another reason i would say.

I have created QMB missions with all the slots filled with aircraft and the pc runs smoothly.

Best regards,
Mike.

Try lowering the column and stationary. Start from lowest setting and rise and see when your system starts creeping. then go back one step. If that doesn´t help I´m out of  options.

Mike, I'm sorry but I have no clue. I believe the reason has nothing to do with DCG.

This campaign has a lot more ground objects than a QMB mission, but your system should be easily able to handle them. Some mod?

Have you tried any other DCG campaigns? Do they work?

Hi I managed to Italian campaign but I have the same problems like Dogbert:

Quote
Like a slide show, something i have never encountered

Very very low frame rate.... In Dgen campaign I have never this kind of troubles....

In addition I can't save the mission of DGEN campaign. When I quit the mission I hear a sound like "critical stop" and I must to press the "esc" key to quit the mission, but the game jump on the main page with no possibility to do "apply" to the DGEN mission...

Any ideas? Ciao!

Not a problem Shakaali, i have never tried any other DCG campaigns.

Didn't even know what they were, until i saw yours buddy.  :)

All i have installed is BAT, to v11. Being relatively new to 1946 and flight sims in general.

I tend not to mess around with adding extra mods to BAT or my separate VP install.

Best wishes,
Mike.

Shakaali, I tried to generate a generic campaign for Regia Aeronautica. If I try to change the planes the campaign doesn't generate, but If I keep the default planes the campaign run and is very smoothly.

I have no experience with DCG but I suppose some setting in BOG campaign?

Ciao!
