Wow WTF effects!

I'm going to put out some of the Khe Sanh missions with BATEP12.  There was one where you take off during the bombardment of the base.  You start in an ARA Huey on the pad and I had a lot of effects going on.  As I hit the engine start two guys 'ran past the windshield'!  These were NOT statics.  I was using the SLD effect to generate running men and they were running about in front of the Helo as the NVA shells came in. 

The best effect yet, these guys are actually running around the base during the attack.  I have them on target areas too.  Created by CY6 way back its still a real head turner!

Oh no!  First there is moving trucks and planes to avoid at the air base, and now we have to watch for people!!!

Great immersion effect.  Will the plane explode if you hit them or will they just go splat?

I love the running guys. CY6 did a great job. I wish he would come back to more modding.

All the mods and missions, campaigns etc etc are brilliant.

Just amazes me how much work must go into everything.

BAT is a superb achievement  8)

they are just a visual, with no collision boxes, afaik, so your plane wont explode, neither will they go splat ... :D

Is there to be just choppers or will you be able to fly other aircraft...I'm really looking forward to this expansion and with the usual high BAT commitment to quality I know it will be great

You bet!  As far as I am able to understand, reading a lot and talking to guys like yourself who were there, the flying effort around the clock centred on CAS and supply under fire.

We have flying FACs marking targets and spotters on the ground pointing them out as well.  We also have 'Smart AI' ground attack mods in operation, which prevent pointless strafing and make the AI drop tanks before ordnance and bug out when winchester.

Anyway, this is the first serious start I have made on the SEA theatre...

How is all done and where is it going?
