At the speed the aircraft is going, making such tight turns may cause them to go
out of the runway and crash.
Flying an airplane is not the same as driving a NASCAR race car on a circular raceway ;D

I would like to suggest to start using runways like an aircraft carrier.
With passenger airplanes using tailhooks and four arresting wires on the runways !
THAT would make for some exciting flying experiences, which passengers will never forget  :D

As a regular flier with Ryanair all their landings seem like Carrier landings...

Their 737 do not seem to land softly...

Its seem to be common practice by the pilots( ex Top Gunners) to throw the aircraft down onto the runway.

If you have the pleasure of flying Ryanair...look around at your fellow passengers....Regular fliers all seem to assume the brace position on landing and the "newbies" sit there wondering  WTF is going on here

Guess depends on the Pilot and his aim for a "soft" landing.

Dunno, my first ride in a Malév Tu-134 was like landing on a cloud of
Marshmallows. From first to the last it was a perfect landing, you didn't felt anything.
would give him *****
Apart from the noise of the Engines, which growled the compartent.

Malév 737, the landing procedure was partially falling like a stone upon stairs.
:P Schönefeld had no wires, my stomach jumped up and down on the descent, not cool by that Top Gunner

I have a remedy to this!

Tie a rope to a release pylon on the wing closest to the center of the circle. Then tie the other end to a large metal pole at the center of the airport. You will then be able to take off from a circular runway.

Just think of the old control line hobbyists from before RC. They figured it out. :P

Cheers!
