The 4.13.X Unpatcher

The 4.13.X Unpatcher will downgrade (upgrade?) your International IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 v4.13.X (any version) to v4.12.2.

The Unpatcher now comes in a form of an installer!

Download: IL-2_4.13.X_Unpatcher.exe ~35MB

INSTRUCTIONS

• Make sure IL-2 is NOT located in your /Program Files/ folder (*)
• Run the executable as Admin
• Point it to the folder where il2fb.exe is located and click Install
• Done! Launch the game, confirm you now have 4.12.2 and delete the executable.

Steam and GOG users, you may need in addition, the Direct 2 Drive Patch:

(*) IL-2 1946 is standalone and can be installed anywhere and be moved or copied to any location, including external drives, but you should avoid Windows protected folders. Therefore before running the Unpatcher please move or copy your IL-2 folder outside of the Windows "Program Files" path, in example to C:\Games\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946

Note: this tool changes 'official' files and folders only and it has nothing to do with any SAS Modact version or any other mod.

INSTRUCTIONS

2) Copy the whole folder "4.13.X Unpatcher" to your IL-2 root folder
3) Run (as admin if possible) the file "4.13.X Unpatcher/4.13.X INT to 4.12.2 INT.bat"
4) Delete the folder "4.13.X Unpatcher"

ABOUT

This is what I did:

- Download 4.13.X patches
- Run a WinMerge comparison against vanilla 4.12.2
- Export 4.12.2-only files
- Export camparison results to Excel
- Format cells and copy results to a batch file

Sry, does not work.

I downloaded the link,
put the Zip folder in my IL2 folger which is on D and there not in any programs folder,
doubleclicked to open the zip, selected the .bat with a double click,
followed "istruction" to click "any key",
the popup closed and I started the game.
Still 4.13.3m

Did you run the .bat as admin?

You must extract the whole zip. You should then have:

IL-2/IL-2 4.13.X Unpatcher/4.12.2 INT Files/
IL-2/IL-2 4.13.X Unpatcher/4.13.X INT to 4.12.2 INT.bat
IL-2/IL-2 4.13.X Unpatcher/Readme.txt

Yes I tried that after I wrote here. I also run it as admin. Does not work. When IL2 launches, its 4.13.3m even though your programm states that it did the work

You could also use Window 'Restore" function (if you have it switched on).

Sorry to hear you couldn't make it work. Not much else I can do for you with the limited information at hand. It works, I know it because I tested it, something else is going on...

Someone might have read the earlier posts and gotten the wrong idea that this doesn't work with GoG. It does! I just downloaded it and used it on a pristine copy from GoG. Worked great. Thank you!

GoG probably works, but with Steam unfortunately not .

runs fine...a useful tool thank you. I have GOG version which come with an unpatcher but it is an unpatcher for 4.13.3 to 4.10.x only so this saves the hassle of having to then upgrade from 4.10.x to 4.12.2...Again many thanks
