Mike visiting Muzeum Uzbrojenia w Poznaniu
« on: July 14, 2017, 09:23:17 AM »

Hi guys,

This week I've been to Poznan and since my job was done a little bit ahead of schedule yesterday, I thought I'd visit the old town, but when I left the Tram I turned in the wrong direction so instead of heading to the old town, I've been heading to parku Cytadela, where I've been walking around a bit until I suddenly spotted a MiG-15 tail section in the distance.
This lead me to Muzeum Uzbrojenia w Poznaniu, and after having sorted out the bad picture (sorry, I only had my mobile phone with me, the DSLR was at home), 316 images remained which I'd like to share with you.

I've arranged everything in albums, so clicking on the image gets you to the regarding Flickr album.

Antonov An-2:

Ilyushin Il-28:

MiG-15:

Lim-5 (MiG-17):

MiG-21:

Suchoi Su-20:

Other assorted planes:

Tanks:

Artillery:

Other things:

The whole album with all 316 images can be found here:

Note: I've tried to focus on details, not full-scale views of airplanes, in order to give 3D modders some stuff to look at and maybe add to the game.
A few images you will find twice, that's when I used different exposure settings e.g. to illuminate the bottom section of a plane.

Best regards - Mike

awesome - that looks like a BM-13N Katyusha rocket launcher on a Lend-Lease Studebaker US truck.

I was just in Poland not that long ago, and somehow missed this one. Went from Berlin to Warsaw. If you ever have the chance to go to the Institute of Military Technology in Warsaw, don't be like me and not know about it until you're in Florida, go see it, its incredible.

That last picture is like a Jurassic Park scene.
