It happened on another Borneo airfield by accident, looking for Madang, Java and GE dropped me into Borneo. This location is marked as an airfield on NEI maps   2°47'5.70"S 115°18'50.27"E  . At first glance is looks a bit short until you go ESE and the rest of the airfield is revealed especially on a 2013 rollback on GE. I can't find anything on the usual websites , but there it is with a distinctly pre-war circle and bisecting runway layout. Another thing I've noticed is cleared spaces appearing on legends on maps. I'd never thought about them in terms of airstrips/airfields before but I suppose it should be considered if they're long/wide enough?
I'd appreciate it if other people could take a look, if only to confirm discount it as an airfield?

Seems to look like an airfield, albeit a small one.  You can see a worn track down the center.  Could be a modern built runway for small planes.

Just a quick question: What version of Il2 does this run on? I'm currently using BAT up to and including EP12 and I can't save a mission on this map.

I tried the suggestion of inserting the files fb_maps21.SFS, fb_3do26.SFS, fb_3do27.SFS, from 4.13.3 but still no joy.

Hi Bob

I have tested the Java map in my own heavily modded versions of; Modact 5.3, CUP (expanded up to part 22), HSFX 7.03 and Bat - no problems with any of them.
Did you check to see if you could load the 4 DT maps of NBNG into the game - (use the same all.ini entry as in 4.13)
I used some objects from these maps in the Java map.

Just to clarify my earlier post -
My understanding is that maps21.sfs contains the map files for Daedalus Team NBNG maps (among other map files I believe) - Similarly, 3do27.sfs contains new objects (some essential for these new maps).

REMEMBER TO ADD the  .rc file entries to get the new sfs files to work

@sfs MOUNT fb_3do27.sfs
@sfs MOUNT fb_maps21.sfs

These are entered sequentially in their respective places in the .rc file;
Just double click the .rc file to open it and scroll down until you find the maps and 3do. then put each entry last at the bottom of each section - you will see that they follow on numerically - it's obvious!

Needless to say - missions will not save without these entries.

I can't recall where to add the ".rc" entries.  Where is that located?

Hi Czech

Yes...., .rc file is in the STD folder, usually on its own at the bottom.
  Mods( SAS, WAW, etc)/STD/RC File

Hi I have ported this map too my CUP #WAW folder adding the 4.13 .sfs files also, I have noticed that the new map objects are in my FMB objects/static list but no images are available in the dropdown viewing box? On some the 'show' button is greyed out? Is this normal? Or are there some static.ini entries I need?

I just checked CUP #WAW and Modact 5.3 - In FMB all the NGNB objects seem to be available and they all have accompanying images in the viewing box.
In Map Builder mode, however, I have never been able to get any images at all (for anything!) in the objects viewing box.
Strange that it is only the NGNB objects that you can't see in the viewer.

Note, I haven't put any entries for the NGNB objects in the static.ini file, and can't see them making a difference anyway.
Here is a list if you want to try adding them,

That's the default behaviour in FMB+ (like if it's for grown-ups...).
I wonder if the new objects I have created show up in the preview FMB window... ::)

Hi, Squashman,
thank you for new map.
In order to make its installation viable, it can be recommended to describe it step by step in one, single post or readme file, not as you done here.
It is unnecessary to write:

"If you have installed Cyberolas' new Singapore maps then you already have these
textures, so you don't need this file....but if not, install the Singapore textures
folder as follows;

    MODS,#SAS,#WAW,#WAW2/MAPMODS/MAPS/_Tex/Pacific/Singapore
"

It is quite sufficient to paste these files and let overwrite.
And as for static.ini entries, it is nice, but a copy of these object folders would be nice, too.
Otherways the instasllation might turn ino a nightmare for less ecperienced users, I think.
Yust my 2pence, no offence  ;).
Good luck to your work.
Best regards,

Hi Ivan
Thanks as always for the advice - I remember as a newbie myself being confused by ambiguous and sketchy installation instructions and therefore tried to ensure that the instructions I wrote were clear and unambiguous - maybe I've not succeeded, especially for non-English language speakers?
I'll try editing along the lines that you have suggested.

Had a check with the new objects I created for my map and they show up, no problem, in regular FMB, without any extra work.
But you will not get a preview in FMB+.
For this I use the "ground level view" in FMB+ (Click on terrain + Enter) and, with the object selected beforehand, cycle through the list of objects using PageUp/PageDown.
