IL-2 Compare for BAT Operation Sealion
« on: August 17, 2017, 08:32:40 AM »

IL-2 Compare for BAT Operation Sealion is available here:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/ybypjahdb1u85he

Readme:
Code: [Select]
IL-2 Compare for IL-2 1846 4.12.2m + BAT Operation Sealion

********************************************************************************
Installation:

Nothing to install.
Just extract and run "IL-2Compare for BAT Operation Sealion.exe"
Anything else should be self explaining.

The 4 icons in the upper left corner toggle the "turn time" graphs for different
flaps settings: retracted, combat, takeoff, landing
Per default, all but "landing" flaps graphs are shown.

********************************************************************************
Note:

Some planes don't return valid flight model data for some or all sections of
IL-2 Compare. You will notice which ones are affected when you select them.

Supersonic Jets don't show their true max speed if it exceeds 1500km/h
Fast Jets show unreliable data if flight model changes are applied inside their
Java Code. This is the case for Supersonic Jets usually but it might also
happen for some others.

********************************************************************************

Anything you see here: SAS & Hangar 19 Team
Base Version of IL-2 Compare: Grant Senn aka Tagert
Base Version of Infomod for gathering Data: Sjack
Definitely not: Anyone else

Cheers!

Wow! I was just thinking, during the last days: "Wouldn't it be nice if there was an updated il2 compare?"... I'll try it as soon as I can!
And thanks a lot also for all the other work that you do for BAT, from the torrents to the installers...
May I ask, out of pure curiosity, how were the data obtained? Did you write a script to input commands in Il2 and log telemetry data?
Thanks again, and have a nice day!

Thanks a lot.

Aircraft count: 1376. Ah. My. God.   ;D
(including Kurowagen, Kubelwagen, Jeep - why not :P )

But... many Japanese types are missing and no 1946 aircraft. Left out intentionally or just an omission?

Oh!
Thanks for the heads up.
Actually all planes that come after the DB-3T in air.ini are missing. Lol!
I'll fix that with an updated version soon.

Thanks for prompt repair !

For those who wonder why do you need IL2 Compare. IMHO, this is indispensable tool for those who wants to understand why:
- I did not catch that large and heavy P-38 in a climb?
- my Yak just lost the wing?
- Petlyakov bomber escaped from me in a dive?
- Twin engine SB-2 has outturned my Bf-109, wtf?
 :P
And certainly it helps to learn how one's favourite machines behave in IL2 universe. Climb at given altitude, turn R with flaps/no flaps, etc.

I'm getting an error when I start compare, after everything loads:

The "missing" file seems to be there, however. Am I the only one getting this error?
