I consider myself quite young for the average Il-2 fan (16), but this game has been in my life since I learned how to use a joystick.  I downloaded BAT and all the expansion packs and I just have to say WOW! It's amazing what a community like this can do to keep a game going for this long, and I hope to see it continue in for years to come.  Huge thanks to all the SAS team, and Hangar 19 You all are incredible.

Good grief; the sim is older than you! (I picked up the demo at a Flight Sim  exhibition back in 2000).
Glad that the new generation is enjoying and appreciating it and the hard work talented people have put into it to make a sim worthy of attention today.

17 years later I think I'm just getting the hang of it.

Was away from Il-2 for many years and just came back recently as a break from CFS3. Am still amazed what has been done so far. Il-2 '46 is now my favorite combat flight sim.Better late than never. Thanks to all involved in making this the best there is available. See a bright future ahead for this sim.It's amazing that Il-2 has been around so long.Time does fly.Glad i got back into it at the perfect time with VP and BAT out now as CUP was just too complicated for me at the time. Love BAT. How this game has progressed. Thanks for everyone's hard work. I remember all the things folks said, you couldn't have in IL2. Now we have 'em.
