Texans in the Southern Cone
« on: August 29, 2017, 10:40:27 PM »

In response to a request from URU Mustang for some Uruguayan Texans, here's a skin pack dedicated to T-6s and SNJs as used by Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile. Mustang's dad flew the T-6 with the FAU.  Chilean and Uruguayan Air Forces used the T-6 for training and in the case of Uruguay as secondary ground attack aircraft.  The Argentine and Uruguayan Navies flew a variety of SNJs. The small contingent of Uruguayan SNJs flew without tail hooks but the Argentine aircraft, which flew in some numbers, were used for carrier qualifications on the Vente Cinco de Mayo, flying along side Corsairs of their navy.  They also flew as ground attack aircraft and were used in that role in two internal conflicts during the 50s.  There are reports that on at least one occasion during those conflicts which pitted the Navy against the Air Force and Army, an Argentine Air Force F4 Meteor shot down a Navy SNJ near Buenos Aires. I've included a "rebel" skin from the 1955 conflict.  Pack includes both HD and 1024 skins. Thanks to Edlor for the T-6.  A lot of fun to fly!  Hope you enjoy this eclectic collection.
