Bombsaway's Historicaly Correct Palau Map.

This my historicaly correct Palau map. The time period is 1944.
Created using BAT with added objects as noted below.

This version is heavy with palm trees and may cause FPS drop in older , slower computers or if you are running a 16 plane flight mission.

I will try to rework this for older computers soon.

Credits go to the original maker of the map from 1c.

Redko for his retexture of that map and his Peleliu runway texture.

You WILL need to go to that page and download his objects to get this map to work.

The original maker of the Japanese bunker that I retextured and made into the CoralMound object.

KiwiBiggles for his great work with runway taxi and parking points.

If I left anyone out, please let me know so I can add you to the credits.

Install by adding the folder BA_Palau and forest folders to your _tex folder. If you already have a forest folder, add the Transparent.tga to yours.

Add the Bombsaway's Palau folder to your mapmods/maps folder. Add the 3do folder to your mapmods folder.

If you already have a 3do folder in your mapmods folder, add the Marshall Island Buildings and Pacific folders to the buildings folder in the 3do folder. Add the Pacific Roads to your airfield folder.

Add all of the entries to the static.ini and all.ini.

Download and install Geezer's objects mentioned above.

I have uploaded V02 for those that are missing some objects. If you are still missing objects, please do a search or ask in a new thread of where to find them. I made this map using BAT. Awesome stuff as usual.

it is truly amazing  ;) :D

A lot of research went in to this for sure.  ;) :)

A lot of original W.W.2 pics were used to give a great historical immersion effect  ;D

I can spend hours in the pacific wrecks site and not do any mapping ooops there goes the afternoon.
Way better than Facebook or Twitter.

I have a version of game 4.13.4 without additional objects. After properly installing Bombsaways Historical Palau map and Geezer WWI objects I can not save missions in FMB. Still no objects:

I got this error message when I trying load the map in FMB: World.land().LoadMap() error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Landscape 'Bombsaways_Palau/load.ini' loading error

I want to install the map in 4.12.2 with HSFX 7.03

I had always thought the transparent treees were stock. I'll have to ask around to see if I can find it. It has always been in my game through all the versions.

Ok, I think I found the transparent tga. Open the the zip, take the forest folder and place it in your _tex folder if you dont have one. If you do have the forest folder, take the tga out and put it in your forest folder. Please report back and tell me if it works.
