A lovely plane that fills a gap in the DOF line-up. Thank you very much. Downloading now.

Not at all. This slot did not solve the problem. No weapons, no bombs. And most importantly, only the latest version, GIO made both early and late versions.

Okay, I have not tried it out so assumed all would be done, currently the one of mine is also the standard I have not looked at the early or late yet and do not seem to have a skin for it. ;)

Oh Pete you little beauty !

I thought about asking you before I made my slot request...but you seemed to be up to your neck with the fine detail of your Lysander  :P
Have you made a slot for the early Rumpler?
I'm particularly interested in how it compares to the early AEG's etc
Once again ...many thanks  ;D

Cheers

Alfie

The Lysander is trying my patience and ability to the limit so I am taking time out from it. :D

My slot is using the classes I had for the Aviatik Rhino renamed, as with all the WWI stuff I did I am merely providing a base, you guys need to have someone look at the FM, something else beyond my abilities, it needs a dedicated WWI fan for that. ;)

I need information on bombs used so if any of you have that please post it.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Hello Alfie, thank you very much for the image, really appreciated. 8)

I did a search last night and all I found was a image from a scale model that did in fact show the arrangement you show, here is a mixed load I set
the other two are a full set of each:

Code: [Select]
arraylist.add(s);
            hashmapint.put(Finger.Int(s), a_lweaponslot);
            s = "2xPuW12_5Sturm+2xPuW12_5Inc";
            a_lweaponslot = new Aircraft._WeaponSlot[byte0];
            a_lweaponslot[0] = new Aircraft._WeaponSlot(0, "MGunSpandauMaxim08s", 582);
            a_lweaponslot[1] = new Aircraft._WeaponSlot(10, "MGunMG14Parabellumt", 582);
            a_lweaponslot[2] = new Aircraft._WeaponSlot(3, "BombGunPuW10IncG", 1);
            a_lweaponslot[3] = new Aircraft._WeaponSlot(3, "BombGunPuW12_5AG", 1);
            a_lweaponslot[4] = new Aircraft._WeaponSlot(3, "BombGunPuW10IncG", 1);
            a_lweaponslot[5] = new Aircraft._WeaponSlot(3, "BombGunPuW12_5AG", 1);

Gio has already set the hooks but they are at the other side of the fuselage, Mstislav has also painted what I think to be the bomb doors on that side as well. o_O

What to do, move them across or leave as is?   :-|

I also managed to find a book that was sent to me a long while ago, one of many, most likely from Gio or Max I cannot remember.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Greetings... Here's how it's working for me:

          DBW1916- I can fly the early version (with the spinner)just fine, however... 1) the muzzle flash for the forward-firing mg is in the wrong place, 2) observer's mg won't fire, 3) propeller rotation and landing gear wheel rotation are backwards, 4) It seems to have the wrong effects for the engine start (the nose of the plane is engulfed in flame). With the C.IV- late version, I get the same mission loading error null that dsawan got, on some different maps.

          So I installed the aircraft in BAT/DOF... At first, the game crashed at 60% loading. I opened air.ini and disabled the early version, and started the game again, and it loaded fine. In BAT, I can fly the late version and it flies fine, but... 1) no guns at all, 2) no loadouts at all- I'm not sure what it's supposed to have, but I haven't gone back to my book to see what it should be, and 3) not only are the wheels rolling backwards and the prop running in reverse, but the ailerons are reversed as well. It also seems that the engine is linked to some rotary engine sound file- it has that full throttle sound with a 'ignition switch' type of blip to it, like an Oberursel or something.

          Please don't get me wrong- I really like these planes, and these examples are fun to fly, as well as good looking. I'm just looking forward to seeing these birds with all the bugs ironed out...

          Thanks! -M.Z.

Let Mission_bug work his magic  8)
I see stiv_069 has got his paintbrushes out again  :P

Cheers

Alfie

PS I know what you mean about the rotary blip switch sound....the Spad X III has it too

Thank you very much for the skin Mstislav, really appreciated, your work always further enhances Gio's excellent models. 8)

Which of those we have so far would be the best skin for the model I am working on now, does it matter?

The cockpit I showed earlier is from another aircraft, however, the Rumpler has a steering wheel so I am going to get
the parts in Gios's model working as best I can to give it that authentic look. ;)

I have moved the gunners seat to fit under the crew member:

To get things to work I needed to separate them from the interior mesh:

Here you see the throttle working:

Gunner looking over the pilot:

Work will be slow guys, health issues mean I cannot spend much time at the machine, it has to be done a bit at
a time through the day but once I finish the main model I just need to make changes for the other two to reflect
those differences.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

No worries, Alfie- I just figure that one can't fix something if they don't know it's broke, and WIP is a good time to do that... I'm patient, and thankful... ;D
