So let me get this straight: I have IL2 1946 4.12.2m, modact 5.30, with the Flyables AI pack, is it still considered a clean copy? Can I go right to VP modpak now?

Anytime something has been added to IL-2 v4.12.2 (or any other version of IL-2) it is no longer considered  a "clean copy, a " vanilla copy", a "clean installation" or any other name that's used to describe it.

In your case you no longer have "a clean copy" of IL-2 1946 v4.12.2 because you've added the 5.30 modact.

The VP Mod comes with both the 5.30 Modact and the Flyable AI Classes addon already installed.

Nevertheless, I have copies of both IL-2 v4.12.2 + 5.30 Modact and IL-2 v4.12.2 + VP Mod and after looking in the jsgme mod folder of both installs they have the same Mods in them so I would think you are good to go.

However, someone with more knowledge about the matter will more than likely be able to give you the definite thumbs up or thumbs down.

Yes, more than likely it would be simply overwritten.

I don't think there are any files in Modact 5.30 that aren't in the Modact installed in the VP Mod.

In other words, I think...THINK it's the 5.30 version of Modact that is already installed in the VP Mod.

I'm sure VP Media or one of the other "Masters" can answer that question for you with 100% certainty.
