A poll please,  Who among you folks use speech recognition for IL-2 and which software program do you recommend; and why that program and does it add to the game experience?  thanks in advance Brian

I'm experimenting with VoiceAttack which I originally got for use with SH4 (and it works great).  I'm just starting to try it with IL2 and so far not bad in that I can say "Loosen formation" and IL2 will step through the commands and execute.

VAC for me, try before you buy and its good, keyboard presses are no longer needed that alone makes it a must have.

Was put off VAC when using 'Voice Commander' in a crucial one-on-one fight. I sneezed which the programme interpreted as 'bail out!'

Don't use "bail out"  "gear up/down"  "toggle wingsfold" use a button on your controller for that or add "aaachoooooo" as a command.  The only bodily  function ive used in a dogfight was to piss myself fortunately the microphone never picked it up, home to base, shower.

hey all, long time!

Yea, ironically I have had VoiceAttack for quite a while which I use extensively for space sims (elite dangerous, NMS, SC to manage futuristic ships/controls - I have been in these worlds most of the past year), but I just started applying to flight sims.  It works great to add "voice comms" from yourself to AI such as wingmen or tower operators.  I started creating a profile for IL2 1946 which works quite well.  Focus is AI commands only as its immersion, but could be applied to flight controls as well.  All in all though, continuing to fill out the vap for AI commands.  Great to say "two, break right!" or "two, cover me" and the AI responds from the command with action along with the native voice acting from IL2. 

For $10 bucks its one of the best SW additions for gaming out there!
