Is it possible to install the LeChute map in BAT?
« on: November 15, 2017, 09:33:33 AM »

Recently a new European map has been offered  ]nono[. i'm not sure if there is much or any interaction by the good folks here & there so I hope I'm not stepping on any toes, but I want to ask if it is possible to install this map with my BAT install...if so how? It appears to have "floating STD & XTD files & I have no idea where to put everything without screwing something up. Can anyone help? ]nono[
( Also of passing interest ; The reason this map may be of some interest to others is the new modded Lancaster meant to fly over it dropping the now operable 'Dam Buster Up Keep bomb: ]nono[ . I have succesfully installed the plane in WAW3 folder & it is a neat representation of same, but there must be some conflict with BAT as I haven't been able to actually drop the bomb. Apparently the new Le Chute map has a few dams to practice on once everything lines up.)

I've moved the topic here because this definitely isn't a BAT tech issue.

Best regards - Mike

Hi dietz,

La Chute is already included in B.A.T. There are some map updates that will hopefully be incorporated in future expansions (ie death dam object)... but the map works fine the way it is now in B.A.T.Check this post for dam locations:

There is little margin for error with the the Lancaster BIII Special. You must have the right speed and the right altitude before releasing the upkeep! Otherwise the bomb won't bounce. Set the bomb fuze type to 'long-delay' and delay it to 5 or more secs so that the bomb has the time to bounce and sink before exploding ;)
