Scope sights on a lot of planes unusable / thin lines in tracers
« on: November 22, 2017, 12:11:25 PM »

I have tested a lot of the Golden Age planes and a lot of the scope sights seem to be unusable because something is in the way ( I pressed Strg D)

Sometimes also some 3 parts are in the way, A5M for example

Is there some I missed ? a now button to press or something like this

Also some tracers have thin lines in them if you zoom full in, Mg17 for example. Is this caused by some engine limitation ? I remember this thing from an older bubble tracers mod, exspacially with the green russian guns

I didn't understand anything and the translator is in the same situation!  :-X
But like talking to you about the A5M4, I think I'm talking about the tube viewfinders.
These viewfinders have a black cover that needs to be opened... like cameras, you have to remove the cover!
A command key must be pressed.

I have already pressed Strg + D to remove the cover

I mean that some of the tube viewfinders are unusable because there are 3D parts in your way of sight

Maybe this help a little bit

I also see that at some planes the tracers dont match with the line of sight through the scope (early hawker models as example)

The file name give a little explanation of the problem and the plane name

Ah okay! I understand!
Unfortunately some cockpits have this problem.
These cockpits are not finished properly.
The only solution is to contact the author!

The tracer mod which comes with the SAS modact (Guncam Tracers by santobr.sfs) has conf.ini entries for distance of swithching to less detailed 'thin lines', these are the settings I'm using. Check your conf ini, [mods] section for these entries.

TracersPlayer=400
TracersAircrafts=300
TracersWorld=25
TracersWirbelwind=5

This is at the end of my config.ini because I also have your pack installed (like recommended in the BAT forum)

[Mods]
PALMODsColor=0
PALQMBLinesMap=10
PALQMBLinesPl0=25
PALQMBLinesPl1=20
PALQMBLinesPl2=19
PALQMBLinesPl3=18
PALQMBLinesPl4=18
PALQMBLinesPl5=18
PALQMBLinesPl6=18
PALQMBLinesPl7=18
BombBayDoors=0
RandomSplash=1
netCallsign=
TracersPlayer=400
TracersAircrafts=300
TracersWorld=25
TracersWirbelwind=5
HUDLogLines=3
HUDLogColor1=80FFFFFF
HUDLogColor2=10FFFFFF
HUDLogBottomColor1=80FFFFFF
HUDLogBottomColor2=10FFFFFF

It really seems to be only the Mg17. The thin lines are at the beginning of the tracer fire. it also seems that every other gun "starts" the tracers a little bit more far away from your plane than the mg17
