Thanks for the info cbradbury, I'll give them a go.
Cheers

If you get problems, let me know and I'll upload my combination folder.

Edit: well, maybe not - it'd nearly 2Gb! But I can help you with one of your own if necessary.

Thanks for the offer. I created my own combined folder in BATMODS (MAPMODS and STD for static.ini) and installed via JSGME. Created a few missions, works at this stage. Thank you for the idea  :)

Excellent. One of my favourite map(s), partly due to the long distances involved, as I particularly like maritime missions. Perfect for Nightcat operations, for example.

I agree. The SW Pacific is one of my favourite areas in the sim. I like missions with extended flight times - makes you take a more considered approach to your combat options as the stakes are higher as you've invested so much time and effort to get there! And get home again. Plus there is the meditative effect of just flying along, managing your plane efficiently and looking at the scenery. In that respect MSFS2020 has been hijacking my spare time of late - its just a shame you can't blow things up!

Hi,

Tried installing the maps again but no luck again :(

Here is the report from my static.ini checker:

Missing objects in your static.ini:

buildings.House$FurnitureNGNBPalmAg2
buildings.House$FurnitureNGNBPalmAg1
buildings.House$FurnitureNGNBPalmAs2
buildings.House$FurnitureNGNBPalmAs1
buildings.Plate$NGNBPac_GrTaxiEnd

Any idea where to get these entries or if I need to download the objects?

Thanks,

The entries need to be done in your static.ini, I normally put the new entries at the end if they don't have a specific section.

These seems to be objects from the DT New Guinea map I will post them for you

https://www.mediafire.com/file/beomsb17calbgxc/DT_NGNB_Objects.rar/file

Inside the rar file there is a readme file with the static.ini entries.

Thank you,

I have installed the files and entries but no luck

I think it could be to do with folder depth placement errors

Static.ini checker says all objects, entries and errors are resolved?

What do you recommend for the folder depth placement of these files?

Edit - I'm using VP modpack and this regards the August 1942 map

Thanks,

It should be sufficient to extract the content of the rar in your #SAS folder or if you prefer extract the 3do folder into the VP pack STATIC_objects folder.

the structure should be something like this

"#SAS\STATIC_OBJECTS\3do\flora\ngnb_palms"

or keeping the download structure

"#SAS\DT_NGNB Objects\3do\flora\ngnb_palms"

I just use the palm object as example but for the other objects the structure would be the same

I have the same map installed in VP mod pack and everything is working well

I've tried this and still no luck

Static.ini checker confirms that all entries are present and correct.

I'm going to try deleting my MAPMODS _Tex and 3do folders, replacing them with the default VP Modpack ones and then adding the new objects. I will also add the objects to the #SAS folder.

If this doesn't work, I don't know what will

Installing this map is literal torture and I've been trying since February 2021 !!!

So annoying but thank you all for your help and support :)

Back to it tomorrow

better to check-it out with fresh mind as I am sure it is just a wrong install detail (most likely a texture) so check your log. On my side I can only confirm that this maps works well on VP pack

This tells us not much.

If the map is not loading, press SHIFT and TAB keys at the same time to get the onscreen console.
Scroll down to the bottom and take a screenshot.
Post the screenshot and I'm sure one of us can tell you what's wrong.
Almost certain a missing or misplaced texture as Frankiek stated above.

EDIT:   I wouldn't delete the _Tex folder especially if you've added maps in the past.
