India was the first asian country to introduce jet powered fighters after the war with the Vampire.

The F.3 Vampires flew briefly with the Chakra roundel in 1948 and 49


After becoming a Republic, the modern day roundel was introduced.

In the early 50s the NF nightfighter version of the Vampire was introduced (3d of the T is not 100% correct for an NF but it's close enough. The T was derived from the NF)



The Vampires saw brief but intense action in the war of 1965, before being pulled from frontline service as obsolete.

Then came the Hawker Hunter on an F.6 base which served for a very long time.

Vamp thank you for these and the many others you've brought us. They are great! Pak F-86s did chew up the Vampires in 65 but they nonetheless played an important ground-attack role in turning back a Pakistani offensive.  I've included a link to a couple of Indian TF55/TF11s (Air Force and Navy) that I've been tinkering with. Thought they might be a useful addition to your Indian collection. Cheers and thanks again for the skins.
