I never knew that - I don't own BoS and have little to no time to browse info/vid's on it. All I've learnt and known so far is from SAS posts as well as over on TeamSpeak with the rest of the F.A.C. that has BoS. My potato can't run it so I don't own it. Yet. So that's  why I was really excited and hyped to see what I did.

Ever since I was small, and got onto the PC Combat simming scene, I've always wanted the most realism, and this seems to be what I've always wanted when I was 5/6. It's like a childhood dream come true.

Playability and the way it is made make it very close to old IL 2, relatively easy to spend time on, not exactly a learning sim. Pretty good combat simulator with compared to old IL 2 small number of types to use. Experiences gathered while flying my favorite planes say this is good, then you involve into public relations and the community , meh.
Fly and do what you like, SP gaining some priority, but still it is a online game , and those flying there is a potpourri of very nice and dedicated pilots and a great deal of assholes . Many of these are active in forums, do not pay attention to them, take ownership of your game and find a server worth spending time in.
My old PC ran well with a 2,8 ghz i7 and gtx 680 , Bodenplatte and Kuban make you wish for more regarding hardware.
