Hi again!

As this is a test to compare DGen with DCG I was looking in deep also at the files structure and at how to build installation files in my planned campaigns....everyone could reply becuse related not to issue with the campaign itself but as a general knowledge of DCG....

I don't say that I'm trying to state one generator better than the other but understand how to build a campaign in each because thay have some pros in different campaign configration....

In your first post is wrote;

•  For best results, choose the squadron that is in the same ordinal position as the aircraft you select. For example, if you choose the second aircraft type in a list of three, choose the second squadron in the list as well. This will ensure that you receive the correct aircraft upgrades as they become available.

BUT:

- in the planes.DES I have

[Madrid]
He51C

- in the squadrons.DES I have

II_JG1

WHILE when starting the campaign I have 4 aircraft to choose where the HE-51 is the 4th of the list and so , selecting the 4th squadron from the start I'm flying with IV_JG1 and not II_JG1....

IN the MADRID.mis

HE-51 are in II_JG1 (II_JG100 in game code)

IF I search for the aircraft update in the related Campaign and DCG files the HE-51 should be upgraded with BF-109B1 in early 37 , and also the timetable line write so....

IN the saved missions I fly with IV_JG1 and have correct HE-51 and allied/adversaries planes.....

NOW my questions....

As is specified only one plane for DE (HE-51) should'nt I have only one entry with the first aircraft selection?
Choosing IV_JG1 could affect BF109 upgrade in the course of the campaign?

MY DCG is last version of 3.50....

Let me take a look at this Walter. This appears to be an error on my part. I have not published an update to this campaign for a long time but I have a newer version that I am playing myself. Perhaps I should post that. Are you playing the version that is posted here at SAS in this thread?

Yes I'm playing the campaign from first post of this topic....

But it could also be an error of mine while installing DCG....or while acting the campaign generation procedure*....I have installed it and DCG some times before understand how to get it working (I also managed to lose the war on 10 october 1936 in the meantime )

Anyway if you decide to post your updated version I'll restart the campaign with great pleasure!

* what I have done until now:

1) extract DCG in IL2 main root (IL2_DCG named folder)
2) set path x game exe
3) set path x DCG exe
4) run DCG wizards
5) set DCT to full auto generation & replace career generator
6) extracted your campaign into IL2_DCG
7) overwrite DGen (9 files) from your campaign into main root DGen game folder
8 ) generate campaign from DCG panel
9) run IL2 and selected german campaign (in game identified as user defined DCG campaign)
