Thanks guys! :D

Life has become more easier since I stopped editing directly map_H and discovered the Height objects in FMB :D they are perfect for volcanoes, creating those with that tool is relaxing like doing Ikebana or shaping bonsais :)

More screenshots, Shinmoedake volcano

Starting to be an obsession though... :D

I understand that. I would go for days, morning until bed time working on maps. Every time I thought I liked what I had, I would see something and SQUIRRELL!!! there I go starting over. :)

All of you map-artists never seize to amaze me!  :o
Just when a guy thinks everything has been done to the IL2-1946 maps, you guys create
something amazing again!
This looks FANTASTIC!  8)
Big Cheers to the creator!

Hehehehe thanks guys, really appreciated :) all the credit is for you guys and all the immense work in tools, tutorials, planes, and what not. I'm just a guy that drops over here now and then with some textures. Besides, I have decided to take this map slowly and it is a pleasure :)

I wanted today to add the rest of the craters in the Shinmoedake complex, that are covered by water... after an unsuccesful try with the texture Water which I am not going to show XD , I have decided to spend another texture slot on lake-craters... I have still a few free slots and I have enough textures for fields and cities I think. Besides there are other lake craters around Kyushu so I can reuse a dark crater lake (apart from the colorful volcanic one that I showed you a few posts ago, that is not really in Kyushu but I thought what the hell) but I will do it another day, I'm quite tired and hungry :)

But I did some tweaks to the rest of the craters, take a look, I think it looks now better (including the test of high altitude :D)

This map looks absolutely stunning WhiteCat! Brochures and word of mouth are a success and my virtual sightseeing air-fleet already sold out all summer tickets 8)

My comment may not be very special than those of the other folks being delighted, but this is awesome and I'm as much as them looking forward to it. Banzai!  ;)

Hehehe many thanks for your kind comments! All feedback is welcome and appreciated and it's encouraging. I will need to put a disclaimer in the release that I deny any responsibility if your Ki84 explodes in flames or your Mustang gets shot down and you get captured because you were distracted watching the landscape in a dogfight :D

OK we have lake craters :) or is it crater lakes? :D a few pics with lakes and the rear side of the volcano group you haven't seen yet :)

There are still more little volcanoes there but I think I will move from the Shinmoedake complex to other area for the moment. Still I need to solve many things like colors etc. Next update on the biggest volcano in Kyushu, this is not going to be too green and instead, very hot and inhospitable like Mordor :D
