Thanks Dragunoff I use the .sfs version of carsmasters water mod I wonder if ı can use this method for that too?
UPDATE I dısabled my .sfs version and using the JSGME version I tried ıl2ge again (ı am not sure if the .sfs version even worked at all after doing this?) - my water has improved greatly but still looks bad with big blue waves on pacific maps?

Just a small post to congratulate Mr Slibenli for this wonderful mod in version 0.30. It works great with all mod I tested (VPmodpack, YPACK, BAT...) with the addition of carmaster water mod. I was even able to compensable the FPS loss with LOSSLESS application

I just would like to know if you will develop an new version to squash the few remainin glitches on water ?

According to the FAQ it does both. I never heard of that utility before.

This Lossless Scaling is available on Steam. I paid for it to support the developers, but I have no idea if it improves Il2 1946.
It would be good to hear from experts.

lossless is a small program which perform frame generation. For example, over city like berlin and plenty of aircraft in IL2 with max setting, I have 18 to 25 fps on my system. With lossless, you can double the fps. To do that, you have to launch IL2 in windowed mode (I did that through il2setup.exe) then I set my native screen resolution in conf.ini.

You launch lossless, then il2 in windowed mode, in  game you activate lossless with CTL left  ALT left  S then you are go to go with a fluid game. It work with every game or application (DCS, XPLANE 12, FS 2024, X4 foundation....)

It is a great software which cost 6 euro on steam!!!!
You do not need to launch steam to use it, just make a shortcut to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Lossless Scaling\LosslessScaling.exe.
Combined with graphic extender 0.30, IL2 1946 is still one of the best flight sim even after more than 20 years!!!

Let me ask a thing about windowed IL2....

If I start IL2 windowed , if I understand right , it should have a smaller screen resolution....this mean less CPU workload....but also a lower resolution....

When lossless start to upscaling it how the quality of the image is?

Can you provide 2 screeshoots with (IL2 windowed) and without it (IL2 in normal full screen)?

Would you mind letting us know what your preferred settings are in Lossless for best results with IL-2 Sturmovik 1946?  And, as Whiskey Sierra has asked, if we need to run the game in Windowed mode, are we then limited to the default resolution options or can we still run the game with a wide screen e.g. 1920 x 1080 display?  What would the conf.ini file for IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 look like for that type of situation (wide screen)?  Currently, without Lossless, my configuration is:

I also tried "EnableResize=1" but had no luck with that as well.
