This Vid contains several reels from different occassions and even timelines.
I could trace USN Training Carrier reels, which are definitely not at the time of that Battle,
but in friendly US and Hawaiian Waters at the pre service sessions of new flightcrews.
Another is from official Training movie for Carrier personell.
I know, as I skinned some of the included here and watched most myself.
Watch the type of Roundels and Aircraft Markings  ;)

These vids are availlable at a certain WWII Video archive hoster on youtube seperately.
I can't understand how smithsonian can produce such a thingy.
I guess the vid would be rather short if from actual footage of that Battle. Hehe
